AdSense for Search
August 31st, 2005 at 6:06 pm
In case you didn’t noticed, I have put AdSense for search in Archives page of My Money Blog.
What is AdSense for Search
It’s a way for website publishers to provide Google web and site search to their visitors, and to earn money by displaying Google ads on the search results pages. Adding the Google search box to your website puts search engine at your visitors’ fingertips. And combining search with AdSense puts Google’s base of advertisers to work for your bottom line.
Google AdSense combines Google’s search technology with thousands of keyword advertisers to deliver targeted text-based ads to search result pages. People find these ads useful and click on them, and when they do, Google pays you. It’s easy as that.

More links, more traffic, more …
August 29th, 2005 at 2:00 pm
No, not more money! Almost everyone talks about how important quality inbound links are for search engine optimization (SEO). But this post is not about SEO. It’s about driving new readers to my blog.
Getting quality inbound links (from higher ranked sites) is not an easy process. In many cases you don’t have control over who links to you. So, how to get traffic from higher ranked sites? If I would be asked this question, my answer would be - content is king. But you already know this.
In the past two weeks I had some luck and my traffic stats increased tremendously. I was linked by such great sites like ProBlogger, FeedBurner and The Blog Herald.

What to do - not to do with AdSense
August 23rd, 2005 at 10:00 am
I know this was written many times in the past days - but unfortunately it has to be said one more time. The people at Google AdSense have created a top ten list of what to do - not to do, to ensure you don’t get suspended by AdSense.
Thanks to JenStar for alerting us to this top ten list:
1. Don’t click your own ads
Clicking on Google ads on your own site for any reason is strictly prohibited.
2. Don’t ask others to click on Google ads
Encouraging users to click on your Google ads, either directly or indirectly, can lead to inflated advertiser costs and can cause your account to be disabled.
3. Don’t employ pop-up prompts or automatic software installations
Sites showing Google ads may not prompt users to install software on their machines. Publishers must also not attempt to change users’ browser home pages automatically or via pop-up prompts.
