Chitika’s eMiniMalls ad program
October 10th, 2005 at 7:08 pm
The past couple of weeks everyone has been talking about Chitika’s eMiniMalls ad program. eMiniMalls are contextual ads and are delivered in a very unique way through a javascript-based code, similar to AdSense.
This program can be run in conjunction with AdSense & YPN if you disable the contextual aspect of it, and use keywords only:
ch_non_contextual = 1;
ch_query = “keyword01 keyword02″;
Like many others I’m very satisfied with eMiniMals running them on one of my other blogs (not known to my readers at the moment).
Just take a look how their ad units work. Here is an iPod ad:

It looks like blogging is becoming a multi billion dollar industry? With the sale of Weblogs Inc., to AOL and Weblogs.com to Verisign the blogging industry is taking a new turn. Blogs and blogging firms have become a real value now, and that value is worth a lot of money. Where’s the catch? Of course on the advertising side. There is an awful lot of advertising money laying around blogs and the big guys are very aware of that.
And here are this weeks QuickLinks:

Zero to Million dollar homepage
October 6th, 2005 at 11:36 am
It all started with a crazy idea from a guy Alex Tew. The 21-year-old, living in a small town in England, would like to graduate in Business Management without debts after 3 years. To fulfill his dream he started a site called The Million Dollar Homepage and it’s selling pixels at $1 each in blocks of 100. Because the simplicity of the idea it just managed to take off and the owner has already raked in more than $276,500 at the time of posting this entry.
But wait, did you think that such a brilliant idea will not be copied? A day or two after the original there were a lot of copycats which would like to have a piece bread Alex is already baking. Some copycats are a bit more creative with putting out their own designs but a most of them just copied the Million Dollar Homepage.
Here is a short list from the creative ones:

This is a folow up post to my first article about Search engine optimization for beginners.
There are many diffrent factors that can influence web page rank at the major search engines like Google, MSN, Yahoo! and others. There were some heavy discussions about the importance of individuall factors, although it is impossible to say which of them affects which search engine and how they affect on page rank.
Based on my personal opinions and expirience I created a top 5 list which can help you with search engine optimization for your own web site.
