Geeky Corner, Joel Comm and new ebook

November 7th, 2005 at 10:06 am

Last week I received an email which made me very proud. The guy who sent me this email was Joel Comm, a net entrepreneur who has been making a living online for 10 years and author of the What Google Never Told You About Making Money with Adsense.

My name is Joel Comm and I am a site publisher and ebook author. I am currently creating an ebook on Chitika eMiniMalls and I think your site is an excellent example of optimized integration of Chitika. May I please have permission to capture a screen shot from www.geekycorner.com to place in my ebook as a case study?

Joel Comm is also the owner of the successful worldvillage.com, blogger at joelcomm.com, co founder of classicgames.com which was bought by Yahoo and is now Games.yahoo.com.

There are two things I have to mention once again. There is a Chitika eMiniMalls ebook coming out and the one that made me so proud - Geeky Corner is going to be futured as a case study in this new ebook.

How much is your blog worth?

October 25th, 2005 at 9:44 am

My blog is worth $12,419.88.
How much is your blog worth?

I found this button on Bussines Opportunities Weblog and had to try it out for My Money Blog. The little applet is using Technorati’s API which computes and displays your blog’s worth using the same link to dollar ratio as the AOL-Weblogs Inc deal.

Of course the value is not realistic but it’s still interesting. How much is your blog worth? Check it out.

“FreePay is a payment method for purchasing online. But instead of using a check or a credit card you don’t pay anything at all. We have partnered with large online advertisers, like Blockbuster, Citibank and BMG, who do all the paying for you. These sponsors are looking for new customers like you, and in exchange for trying their products and services you can get cool, high-end, and totally free products. The sponsors pay us referral fees for helping them acquire customers like you and this money goes towards the cost of your new items.”

Zero to Million dollar homepage

October 6th, 2005 at 11:36 am

It all started with a crazy idea from a guy Alex Tew. The 21-year-old, living in a small town in England, would like to graduate in Business Management without debts after 3 years. To fulfill his dream he started a site called The Million Dollar Homepage and it’s selling pixels at $1 each in blocks of 100. Because the simplicity of the idea it just managed to take off and the owner has already raked in more than $276,500 at the time of posting this entry.

But wait, did you think that such a brilliant idea will not be copied? A day or two after the original there were a lot of copycats which would like to have a piece bread Alex is already baking. Some copycats are a bit more creative with putting out their own designs but a most of them just copied the Million Dollar Homepage.

Here is a short list from the creative ones:
