First steps with Google AdSense

Probably you already noticed that I recently made my first steps in the game of making money online. I signed up with Google’s AdSense program which is perhaps the fastest and easiest way to generate revenue from a website.
What is AdSense?
If you would like to see examples of AdSense ads in action, look at the top of this website or at the end of each article (before navigation).
Google AdSense is a fast and easy way for website publishers to display Google AdWords ads on their website’s content pages and earn money. It’s also a way for website publishers to provide Google web and site search to their visitors.
The program is free, and Google pays you for clicks on the AdWords ads on your site. Google uses content targeting technology to put proper ads on your pages. If your content is about “making money online” (like here) then Google will serve you with relevant ads for different “making money online” opportunities.
Applying to the AdSense program is extremely easy and just takes a few minutes. Simply visit the AdSense homepage and apply. If you are accepted (Google reserves the right to reject sites) you will be given your unique code and HTML to paste it on your page.
Why did I choose AdSense?
- Google is one of the most trusted internet brands.
- You can apply for free.
- Easy to sign up and implement it on websites.
- Content relevant ads. As your content changes the ads do too.
- Multiple layouts and formats from which you can choose from.
- If you own more websites you can put the same AdSense code on all of them.

I think it’s against AdSense rules to talk about earnings and clicks. So I wan’t talk about it.

That’s Great when it comes to posting articles related to your web page. What does google adds do if you are a mortgage lender, explaining the things mortgage lenders do, but don’t want you to know? Do they list adds for mortgage companies?
