How I Have Made Money Online In 2006

December 30th, 2006 at 5:09 pm

Time for a year-end wrap for 2006 which also happened to be the best year ever for me so far. I’m not going into exact revenue figures but just point out the programs which worked for me. Note that I received cheques from all programs below.

1. AdSense

AdSense is is probably the most steady aspect of my online income. A little more than 65% of my revenue comes from Google AdSense. The figures have doubled from the beginning of the year.

2. Affiliate programs

Have I ever mentioned how much I love affiliate programs? Although I’m barely averaging a three figure affiliate income each month, the trend is definitely up and I hope I kept at it in the next year.

3. Text Link Ads

Selling text link ads through TLA network has become a very important revenue making model for my blogs in the last couple of months in the year 2006.

4. Review Me

I wrote 4 reviews for Review Me during the last month and did get a decent amount of money for them. I wish the trend will continue and Review Me will become a steady online making money option for me.

5. Chitika

I’m still using Chitika but it doesn’t bring much money in so I’m considering leaving the program in 2007.

While I am far from earning a living from online income and unfortunately mine is still largely dependent on my day job, it is growing and building up on previous efforts.

Nice list mate. Thanks for sharing and showing people that it’s possible to earn money on the Internet.

    For me it was:

    #1) Affiliate programs

    #2) Adsense

I am going to get in text link ads. (I am already an affiliate for them), and also add more streams of income.

    Hi Miha :)

I just discovered your blog this evening. I like the way that you have formatted your site. The structure makes navigation easy. Good luck with your blog. I just started my own blog and I have reading blogs that have a similar theme as my own. My goals are similar. My major goal to increase my readership. I will make sure that I revisit your site to check out your tips :)

    Bye for now, Benoit

    Hi Miha,

You have a cool site and I like the way you organised your blog.

For me, I am currently earning 80% from adsense and 20% from affiliate marketing.

Congratulations on making money online. You are the 5% who did it!

    Marie… no I didn’t and I don’t plan to.

Benoit… you will find some good tips and advices in my archives. Take some time, read them trough and take some actions. Good luck with your goals.

Azlan… maybe I’m already in 5% but the quest is still not over. There is still a lot to learn and to do before I reach my final goals.

Writing reviews and adsense works best on my site.

Lately I joined Kontera as well and they are quite similar to Adsense. Only setback is the links might confuse your readers and the payout per click is quite low, averaging to only about $0.10 per click.

Good luck in making money online for year 2007.
