Finding your niche
If you don’t know what your site will be about you can find your niche through NicheBot - keyword database discover. It will help you to find active keyword phrases that people use to search.
Domain name
Choosing a good domain name is very important this days. The whole process can be very tricky because you probably will never get what you want. If you want to make the process a little easier than you can try DomainsBot which is a domain suggestion tool. This tool will help you with a variety of domain combinations available using that combination of words you type in.
Website analysis
When you are done with your website you can get free website analysis, optimization and promotion reports if you chose to use SiteReportCard. It will provide you with detailed reports on various aspects of your web pages including: broken links, misspelled words, HTML validation, load time analysis, meta tag optimization, image optimization, search engine inclusion, site popularity and keyword analysis.
Keywords
Every site has a goal of which search terms they wish to be highly placed on. Not sure what search terms to bid on? Enter a term related to your site and Overture’s search term suggestion tool will show you related searches that include your term and how many times that term was searched on last month. It’s a very good indicator to find out what keywords you should target.
Google AdSense
If you will use Google AdSense on your page you should check out Google AdSense Sandbox Tool - a handy little utility if you would like to see what sort of Google AdSense ads will show up based on content or keywords. You just need to enter the URL or keywords in the box, and you will see up to 20 sample AdSense ads for the URL or keywords.

Nice post. Iv been using nichebot.com for a while now and it is incredibly powerfull! They allow you to even locate affiliate products to sell after you find the niche you want. There is some rumor however that the webmaster of the site collects the information and uses it himself. So he allows you to do the research for him, then he simpely sorts by ratio and finds the best niches to target himself.
Still a great site though.
